Hey y'all!  We're a day behind (because I'm sick, eew!), but it's time for this week's Double Vision post!  Double Vision is an awesome series of posts that I do with my friend Hanna of The Wardrobe Challenge  (you can read more about DV here).

Hanna and I won't be going out celebrate New Year's Eve, but we thought it'd be fun to do a post showing you our NYE outfits if we were going out! I've been itching for a reason to wear the gorgeous faux leather dress Hanna sent me for Christmas (that I swapped into my 30x30), so I paired it with some serious sparkle to make it totally New Year's glam!

top (worn backwards as jacket) - ASOS Curve | dress (similar) - gift from Hanna | tights (similar) - Target   earrings, cuff (similar) - Forever21 | heels (similar) - Zappos | clutch (similar) - Banana Republic

I seriously love this top by ASOS Curve. As soon as I saw that it had a full zip up the back, I knew that I wanted to wear it backwards as a jacket, although I think it looks just as good when worn as intended. The best part? It's totally on sale right now, and for a statement piece that can be worn multiple ways, I think it's a great wardrobe investment. Who doesn't love a little (erm, a LOT) of sparkle, especially on New Year's Eve, right?

Anyway, let's head over to Hanna's blog to see how she's rocking her New Year's outfit! I bet she looks fab!

PS: Make sure to check out Jess and Sarah's blogs for their 30x30 remixes, too!

There's nothing quite like going through your post archives to show you just how fast the year has flown by, you know? Yikes, is it really almost 2013 already? :D

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. It's been a great first year here on the blog, and y'all are a huge part of that. I've gotten to know so many of you fabulous people through blogging, and it warms my lil' polka-dotted heart that you cared enough to get to know me, too. Thank you so much for an awesome year, and I hope to see you again in 2013. Happy New Year! <3

I've been really good about avoiding the daily sales emails that flood my inbox (the exception being the Old Navy sale), but one came today that was too awesome to pass up. Shoemint is a monthly shoe site that I signed up with a while ago, and I love it because you can skip any and every month without penalty. The shoes are designed and produced by Steve Madden exclusively for Shoemint, and I've been nothing but happy with the few pairs I have (including these!).

Anyway, from now through Dec. 31st, you can order the Work Live Play Box and receive three pairs for $99 with free shipping. For 3 pairs of quality, leather, designer brand shoes, you really can't go wrong. Click here for more info!

Above are some of the shoe options, but you can see all the different colors/combos they have here. Happy shopping! :D

(This is not a sponsored post, I just wanted to share the awesome deal with y'all. :)

Hi there!  It's Wednesday, and it's time for the Fatshion Faceoff! (If you're a first-timer that stumbled here via whoknowswhere, click here to find out what the Fatshion Faceoff is all about!) This week's challenge item was chosen by Olivia and she picked... a pussybow top! I wore mine to my son's holiday concert last week and paired it with a lovely polkadot blazer (that I need to wear more, I love it!).

Anyway, now that you've seen my Fatshion Faceoff this week, make sure to check out the other girls' posts. I can't wait to see what they're wearing. And hope you're having very happy holidays! :)

His ears got cold, so I diy-ed earwarmers. Luckily his scarf was long enough to do the job. :)

My son and I went exploring this evening and we attacked the trees with their own twigs and branches. We didn't win the battle against the fading sunlight (sorry for the grainy pictures, y'all!), but we totally defeated the trees. Then we celebrated our victory by staking our claim on the land. Two explorers, reconquering Pennsylvania one tree at a time.

PPS: Apparently I accidentally skipped posts 13x30 and 14x30,
so I'll be adjusting the titles of this post and the previous. Whoops! :D

Get the look!
