FATSHION FACEOFF: MIXED PRINTS

Hey party people, it's Fatshion Faceoff time again! It was my turn to pick this week's challenge, and I chose for us all to mix prints. Here's my take:

sunnies: RayBan via Zappos
belt: off a Target skirt
clutch: Target
shoes (same in owl print): Report via DSW

When I was planning what patterns I wanted to mix today, I knew I wanted to go with stripes. But what to pair my stripes with? A floral pattern? My beloved leopard print? I feel like I do those combinations kind of a lot already, so I tried to think of something different. Then I realized that the colors of this dress paired perfectly with the adorable new wedges I found last month. How cute is the bird print?! And the best part is, they were only like eight bucks after clearance markdowns and a rewards certificate. Gotta love DSW, y'all. ;)

Anyway, now that you've seen my print party, let's go see what the other girls are wearing!

FATSHION FACEOFF: STATEMENT NECKLACE

Hey everyone, it's Wednesday and you know what that means! It's Fatshion Faceoff time! This week our challenge was chosen by Hanna, and she picked statement necklaces. I only have one legit in-yo-face statement necklace, and you've seen it a few times already this summer (here, here, here), so I thought I'd show you some ones from Dorothy Perkins that I'm pretty much obsessed with at the moment. The good news is, all the ones I love are on sale! The bad news is, all the ones I love are on sale.  So tempted to swipe up a few, ya know? :P

Now that you've seen my wishlist of fab statement pieces, make sure to see the other girls and how they're wearing their necklaces today. :)

TRIBAL PRINT WITH A POP OF YELLOW

Hi everyone! Yes, today is Wednesday, but we Fatshion Faceoff girls are taking a break from our challenge this week. We were planning to show you our different ways of styling straight-leg trousers, but after a variety of issues (stubborn stains, poor fit, etc), we just decided to skip this week. Instead, I thought I'd share an outfit from last month that never made it to the blog.

sunnies: RayBan via Zappos
necklace: Forever21
clutch: ASOS
jeans (also in plus): Old Navy
shoes (similar): Zara

I've been really drawn to tribal/aztec prints lately, so of course I had to grab this top when I saw it at Fashion to Figure in NYC. Isn't the crossover, semi-sheer back pretty? Although, I didn't realize until looking at these pictures that the print is strategically placed to draw your eye to my fabulous bosom. Aztec boobs for the win! ;)

FATSHION FACEOFF: PEPLUM DRESS

Hey everyone, its Wednesday and time for the Fatshion Faceoff! Today's challenge item was picked by Mouna and she chose, yep you guessed it, a peplum dress! I don't own a peplum dress, but I do have a matching peplum top and pencil skirt, so I just wore those together and I bet you couldn't even tell they were separates. Full disclosure though, this week is another stay-at-home outfit, but only because it's so freaking out outside, y'all. A 100+ degree Texas summer and head-to-toe black do not make happy friends. :)

earrings (similar): Marc by Marc Jacobs via Zappos
necklace: c/o Torrid
skirt (also in plus): Old Navy
bag: Forever21
heels (similar): Ivanka Trump via Zappos

I really love this peplum top from ASOS Curve, but I'm kind of stumped on other ways to wear it. Obvs it works great with a pencil skirt, but I don't wear pencil skirts that often, so I need other options if I'm gonna be able to justify keeping it. I'm guessing it'd go with my tribal print trousers from last week's FF or skinny jeans, but other than that, any ideas ladies?

Anyway, make sure you check out the other babes' Fatshion Faceoff posts, I'm sure they look amazing!

FATSHION FACEOFF: 80'S INSPIRED

Hey y'all! I'm a bit late to the Fatshion Faceoff this week, which I'm wholeheartedly blaming on It's-Summer-And-School's-Out-So-Obvs-I-Can't-Remember-What-Day-Of-The-Week-It-Is Syndrome. You know that's a real thing, right?

Anyway, Olivia picked our challenge this week and she chose.. a 1980's inspired theme for us! I am definitely a child of the 80's and darn proud of it! And even though I was a little kid for most of that awesome decade, I still remember that I wore some pretty crazy stuff. Especially neons and weird printed shiz. Especially together. They were totes my jam, you guys, and you better believe I have the pictures to prove it. So long story short, I thought I'd pay tribute to 7-year-old Dani's love of wacky fashun this week and rock it out. (And fyi, there was no way I was wearing this outfit out of the house. Just so we're all clear about keeping the crazy indoors and you don't start worrying about me. ;)

sunnies: RayBan via Zappos
earrings (sorta similar): Forever21
top (similar): c/o Lane Bryant
bracelets: everywhere
pants (almost exact here): Forever21+
heels (similar options to size 13!): Shoemint

Ok, real talk time. I'm only one red bouffant wig away from channelling Peggy Bundy, right? Actually, she'd probs wear leopard pants instead of this wild tribal pair. Good thing I already have leopard leggings, now I just have to find the wig and I've got a Halloween costume all set. ;)

If you haven't already, make sure to check out the other Fatshion Faceoff babes' posts! I'm pretty sure we were all around for the 80's, so it'll be fun to see how everyone interprets this week's challenge.
