Hi everyone! We have an extra Fatshion Faceoff this week, as we have a fun surprise to share with you! Lane Bryant was kind enough to send each of us FF girls the same dress from their new F/W'13 line to style and wear this week. We each received this super adorable striped sweater skater dress, and I've been waiting excitedly to share it with you! Although it was cloudy when I took my pictures, it was still somewhat warmish out and really not cool enough to wear this dress with boots like I was hoping to. Here's how I styled it:

shoes (similar): Nine West (old)

Isn't it super cute? These stripes are totally my jam, y'all! I've been wanting a sweater dress for ages, and I'm so so glad that I finally have one, especially a skater skirted one. Is it just me, or do skater dresses look good on everyone!?

Anyway, I'm pretty dang happy with this dress! I requested a size 18/20, and annoying dual sizing aside, I think it worked out fine. For reference, I would say that it fits like a size 20. The top half is a little roomy on me, especially around the bust, but I didn't want to risk getting a smaller size and having the bottom too clingy. If there's one thing I've been super particular about in my hunt for the perfect sweater dress, it's that I wanted one that's somewhat relaxed and not too tight. This dress fits the bill!

I like that this dress isn't super short (so I can wear it with or without tights), and at 5'7", it hits a couple inches above my knees. I also really appreciate that the long sleeves are legitimately long (although I pushed them up out of habit). I have monkey arms that are a bit too long for my body, so I was happy to have the option of wearing the sleeves as intended for when it gets colder here. I also really like the versatility of this dress, and it can definitely be worn fancied up with tights and fabulous shoes, or more casually with leggings and tall boots. Heck, I can even see myself wearing booties and a moto jacket with this baby. Thank you so much for the great dress, Lane Bryant! I can't wait to layer it up different ways once the weather officially cools down. :)

How would you wear a sweater dress? Do you like them a bit looser, like I do? Make sure you go and visit the other FF girls' blogs to see how they styled the skater sweater dress today!

When ModCloth approached me about participating in their Polyvore challenge featuring the Remarkable Without a Cause dress, I thought, how fun! I love a good outfit set as much as the next girl, so I created the one below. I wanted to make the summery dress appropriate for fall but keep things simple, so I added a great coat and boots, as well as some navy accents. I thought the sweater would be cute layered over the dress and belted to show off the waist. And the best part, the dress and coat are offered in plus-size, and the sweater is offered in an XXL (how freakin' adorable is that deer, amirite?!).

Have you checked out ModCloth's plus-size section yet? They have lots of great stuff and much of it goes to at least a 3X, sometimes even a 4X. Definitely worth adding to your online shopping haunts! :)

The mornings have been getting cooler and it has me thinking about what kinds of outfits I'd like to wear once the colder weather finally arrives for good. Below are some great options I came up with, all featuring Pink Clove pieces and accessories from various places. If you haven't checked out Pink Clove yet, you definitely should! I'd happily take one of each of everything below, thankyouverymuch. ;)
